Description

Hepaguard® is researched and developed by the Director of World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Immunological Research on the Prevention and Control of Viral Hepatitis. Hepaguard® is a natural herbal medication that effectively treats B-type hepatitis. Extracted from a unique Korean Phyllanthus, Hepaguard® promotes the elimination of the HBV and its harmful components from the liver, blood and other major organs.

 

Ingredients

Each bottle contains 180 tablets and each tablets contains 500mg of Phyllanthus Urinaria Koreana extracts

 

Dosage & Administration

Adults:   

Body weight under 60kg – two tablets 3 times daily

 

Body weight over 60kg – two tablets 4 times daily

Children:

Age of 5 or under – 1/3 of a tablet 2-3 times daily

 

Age 6 to 14 – ½ a tablet 3 times daily

 

Age of 15 or over – one tablet 3 times daily

For liver protection

two tablets 2 times daily

Dosage may be adjusted according to age and body weight by a qualified physician.

Note: Not recommended for pregnancy women.

Duration of Treatment

Each treatment for hepatitis B patients requires a 3 months period. Patients might take 1 to 4 treatments (3 to 12 months) depending on the patients’ medical history. In order to better understand the progress of the treatment, blood test for the following serum markers is advised after each treatment period: 

a. ALT/GPT

b. AST/GOT

c. HBsAg

d. HBsAb

e. HBeAg

f.  HBeAb

g. HBV-DNA

 

 

In additional to blood test evaluation, patients can have their liver examine in detail through ultrasound, CT scans, biopsy or AFP for other liver disorders.
